CLORG FAQs
Q: What is a CLORG?
A: A CLORG is a Club or Organization. Q: How do I register a new CLORG? A: Visit the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) or Scripps Communities of Resources and Empowerment (SCORE) to get the paperwork to start your CLORG! Q: When can I register my CLORG? A: You can register a new CLORG any time! However, the best time to register a CLORG is before budget hearings in April. If you miss this deadline, you can apply for funding any time through the Funding Advisory Committee. Q: Do I have to re-register my CLORG every year? A: YES. CLORGs must be registered annually in order to receive a budget. Scripps Budget hearings happen in April and will be widely publicized - keep an eye out for more information! Q: What is the difference between a Scripps CLORG and a 5C Club? A: CLORGs can only receive a budget from one source: either 5C budget hearings or Scripps Budget hearings. So a CLORG could technically be registered as both a 5C club and Scripps CLORG, but can only receive funding from one or the other. |
