Student Investment Fund
The Student Investment Fund is a Scripps College organization composed of students interested in financial markets and investing. The primary purpose of this organization is to provide students an experience learning about the free enterprise system and the basic techniques of wise investing.
Members of all years and majors can apply through a written application, followed by interviews with current board members. We have a maximum cap of 15 members. Meetings are weekly on Sunday nights. We discuss and give updates on the portfolio, present stock pitches, hold lessons and more. We have a yearly distribution of a percentage of our funds to Scripps CLORGS. We also hold events including an educational open meeting on personal investing, co-organized the annual Finance Conference with the CMC SIF, and movie nights. |
