Office Hours: 
Wednesday 12:30-1:30 pm in the Student Union
Thursdays 5:45-6:45 pm in the Student Union
Placement: Non-Voting Officers of SAS Board Responsibilities; at least one individual must have one year of SAS experience to run 
  • Sits on Presidential Budget Advisory Committee
    • OR create an application and find three Scripps students to sit on PBAC 
    • Two Scripps Students and one person from SIF
  • Participate in budget allocation process for 5-Colleges and Scripps CLORGs/SAS
  • Ensure the proper and timely distribution of funds for those approved and reimbursements
    for those with previous allocations

  • Create a public breakdown of student fees allocations for the current year for the Secretary to publish on the SAS website
  • Support the executive board in proposing any student fee changes.
  • Prepare a presentation summarizing student fees allocations in the Spring semester to
    students and the BOT Student Affairs Committee

  • Maintain SAS financial accounts (checking, savings, etc.) and keep financial records up to date
  • Work closely with the SAS tax accountant to reconcile accounts and to ensure tax forms are complete
  • Pay accounting fees and other SAS operating expenses
  • Oversee the enforcement of funding allocation guidelines
  • Bring FAC proposals with recommended amounts exceeding $1000 to SAS for a vote.
  • Meet with the Scripps College VPs of Finance, SAS Advisor, Director of Financial Aid, and Dean of Student Activities Office at least once per semester and then as needed.
