Scripps College Economics Society

The Society seeks to provide a forum for the discussion of economic, political, educational and professional issues and is dedicated to developing the intellectual and professional skills of its members. We advocate for departmental changes on behalf of students.

We have organized various events open to the Scripps and Claremont community, including networking mixers with faculty and alumni and professional workshops in collaboration with Career Planning and Resources . Other events have included book clubs, movie nights, and speaker engagements. The Society meets every Tuesday night from 7-8 pm in Humanities 102 to discuss current events related to politics and economics, plan relevant programming, and practice professional soft-skills such as networking & interviewing.
