Responsibilities

• Assumes the role of President in the case of President’s absence
• Serves as the parliamentarian of SAS and deals with inter-SAS issues or concerns
• Facilitates BeHeard forums throughout the academic year in collaboration with SAS senators and the Scripps student body
• Manages the application process of student senators that takes place in the fall semester
• Chairs the Election Committee in the fall and spring
• Chairs the SAS Book Fund committee and will be responsible for sending out the applications, compiling all the responses and leading the process of the deliberations. 
• Hold each SAS position accountable for the responsibilities allocated to them. Oversees the internal affairs of the SAS Board and reports all relevant information to the President as necessary. 
• Organizes SAS retreat and coordinates SAS bonding throughout the year
• Works with President and VPSA to plan and facilitate SAS training
• Compile SAS evaluation responses once per semester for the Board (internal) and meet with each member of SAS Board to discuss the results with the President
• Participate in budget allocation process for 5-Colleges
• Meets with the Dean of Students and with other Scripps College staff and administration as needed
